Cancun Day 2 - SUN NOV 30

 Today’s goal was to catch up on sleep, so it started with 11 hours in bed!  We got up at 9 and were on the pool deck by 10.  The bar opened at 11 and we took lunch at Noon. We napped off and on at the pool deck until 4, when we decided that we had enough sun for day 1.  Back to the room for showers before heading down to dinner at 6.

Tonight’s dinner theme was Mediterranean.  Some good choices or items we liked but mostly we can skip that dinner theme next trip.  Back to the room to watch football and asleep again before 10.  The ole sun warmed us up to 84 F (29 C) today without many cloud buddies to keep us cool.  Plenty of trips into and out of the pool.  But it sure beats what we are having at home right now!

Cancun Day 2 - Sunday, April 27, 2025

 Sandy and I crashed at 8 pm Saturday night and we did not get up this morning until 8 am.  We put on our suits and slathered before heading to the pool.  Sandy met Nick and Shelby at the pastry shop for breakfast.  And then we waited until 11 am for the bar to open.   We ate lunch at the pool restaurant.  We re-slathered with sunscreen and then stayed at the pool for drinks, naps, and dips to cool off before calling it a day at 5:30.  We took showers and then played two games of cards before heading off to dinner.  Tonight’s fare was not the buffet but a full menu.  Nick and I had fish and the girls had chicken. Cancun Day 4 - Tues APR 29

 Lather, Rinse, Repeat.  Up at 7:30.  On the pool deck by 8:30.  Lunch at restaurant at Noon.  And here’s where some adventure comes in - someone “borrowed” on of our deck chairs while we were at lunch.  No, they were not sitting in it, but they had moved it and put their stuff on it.  Why do I say it was “ours?”  Because the resort gives you flags to post on the chair allowing you to claim it for the day so long as you do not abandon it for more than 2 consecutive hours - which we had not done.  Besides, my shoes were still sitting under the chair.  To me, no worries.  After putting on more sunscreen I will rightfully reclaim my chair and apologize for their misunderstanding should there be any type of confrontation. Cancun Day 3 - Mon, Apr 28

 Up by 7:30 local and at the pool deck by 9.  Chairs are a premium as there are more people here than what we anticipated based solely on our own biased opinions of when people come down here!  No worries.  Nick and Shelby joined us presently.  We stayed until 11:30 when we went to the poolside restaurant for lunch.  Back to our chairs.  Called it about 4:30 as we had absorbed enough sun for a day. Dinner tonight was at the Hacienda Sisal, a local restaurant here on the resort site.  We had reservations for 6 pm.  After dinner we returned to our room for more cards - Bid Euchre.  We finally let the girls win a single game just so they would know what it feels like to be a winner.  Then we won the next two games.  The scores were closer this round and a fun fact is that only the boys (who are stupid and take more chances) have been set, in 7 full games!  The girls have a perfect bid record.  We shall work to change tha...
