Cancun Day 4 - Tues DEC 2

Some of y’all may have received a preemptive text from my bride about the validity of this blog.  First of all, she must have eaten some bad shellfish or something.  She’s not in her right mind (well, not sure if she ever was!).  Second, this blog is not opinion.  It’s historical fact.  Records to be retrieved by future generations so they know what really happened on our vacations.  I have not the time, energy, nor motive to wax poetic.  Just the facts, ma’am.  So buckle up and read Tuesday’s history…

Up about 8-ish.  Down to the Rotunda bar for pastries.  Slather and to our chairs on the pool deck.  Then we played corn hole.  And Sandy actually played well enough to be a good teammate.  I mean like she was hitting the board!  Naw, it must have been the alcohol, cause she was putting all four bags on the board, sometimes 2 in the hole, and once a 3-bagger.  And she scored points, which never happens.

For the historical record:  Game 1.  I went back twice in an attempt to keep the game close.  It took quite a while, but I let her win 21-20.  Game 2.  No one went back and I had to throw a four-bagger to stay in the lead.  I won 21-20.  Played the final tie-breaker.  I went up 20 - 1 cause it was hot out and about time for lunch.  I was done playing around.  Trying to get 1 point to win took a bit, but game ended 21-6.  With the rightful champion crowned victorious.  You wish to know what the winner received?  Same thing as the loser - an afternoon sitting around the pool and soaking up more sun.

More facts:  lunch was on the pool deck.  It sprinkled for about 5 minutes.  Called it quits about 4 pm as I for one had enough sun for the day on my five-head.  Showers and then surf & turf for dinner.  Sandy finished her puzzle.  I finished my book, “Hunting the Jackyl” by Billy Waugh.  It’s about a highly decorated vet who served for 50 years in the military and CIA hunting terrorist like bin Laden and Carlos the Jackyl.  Non-fiction.

In bed and asleep by 11.  Wash, rinse, and repeat for another three days!  Stand by.  More facts tomorrow.  In the meantime, enjoy some photos…

It’s “raining” but note the clear sky

Finished puzzle.  Sandy was so happy.
The box said 5+ years and she finished it in two days!

  1. The "facts" are probably as close to being accurate as his delusional mind can handle. However, in 40+ years, he has NEVER let me win anything so... And, it may seem like 5 minutes of rain when you snore through the other10 minutes.
