Cancun Day 6 - Thursday - St. Patrick's Day

Up and out at about the usual this morning.  However, our maid likes to come earlier and earlier each morning.  She was here at 9:45 today.  Oh well.  We hit the chairs next to the pool bar.
I did take a moment to type some snarky comments on FB to sister Joan on her BD.

We stayed there until lunch, where we walked next door and ate outside under Paco's Taco's.  The wait staff had on green hats for St. Paddy's Day.  They also served us green chips with our salsa.  Back to the room to reslather with sun screen and then off to the sun deck.  We spent the rest of the afternoon there.  I wore my brilliant orange PF shirt today, so anyone watching the hotel camera should have been able to pick me out.

Dinner tonight was walking over to el Cap-i-tan.  Sandy took a photo of the mints and texted them to the kids.  That's because she is a meanie-head.

We did not get to watch the Purdue game, but saw the outcome.  Texts and FB indicate that the problem lies with the coach - at least that's the general flavor.  Who had Yale beating Baylor?  Lots of bracket busting games.

We did get the IU game here in the room, so we watched them win - BIG.

We called and chatted with sister Meg tonight.  We were checking on birthday presents for Miss Grace.  We claimed we were winning, but she said she got to spend the day with Will, so neener, neener.

The weather forecasts have been predicting rain all week - so far, no dice.  Today, we did not even see the first cloud until 1 pm.  It was bright and beautiful today.  It hit almost 85 F.  It would be very hot here, like Cabo, if it weren't for the breeze.  We laughed that our daughters, Kathy and Shelby, would have been wearing towels and hoodies this afternoon had they gotten wet.  Brisk breeze if wet.  You sure dry out fast.

Sandy has been playing with her new camera - she wanted one that takes faster shots than our old one.  So, I got her a new Canon Powershot Elph for Christmas.  It fits the bill.  And, it has it's own App and Network.  We can share pictures between phones, computers, and even use our phones as remote controls for taking pictures.  Wow, flying cars can't be too far off.

Anyway, here is a night shot she took off our balcony.  You can even see the waves breaking along the beach.  Look closely, there is a cruise ship in the back left - way out there in the ocean.  Looks like she's happy with her new camera so far.

I have not received a call from the Dive Shop, so I suspect that I will not be diving the cenotes tomorrow.  So it's more of the same.  Sleep, eat, sun, eat, pool, sun, eat, sleep, again!
