Magic Finger Cancun

So there's a family, taught by the Grandfather, who finger paints on tiles. It is amazing to watch the pictures come to life. They are here in Cancun, Cabo, and Puerto Vallarta.

We have bought these paintings before, and in fact have one hanging in our living room from our 25th anniversary trip here last year.

A percentage of the proceeds from each sale go to help under privileged children here in Cancun.

Well, we bought 3 on Wednesday, and another 4 today. Most are gifts and/or presents. But I had a tough time pulling Sandy away. I think she would have them all over our house if we had a way to get them all home.

And, Jose painted one as a gift since we bought so many. Hey, buy 7 and get one free!

    Am just find you blog here on internet....and it's really nice to hear from you,describing w/ you own words the experience that you had with us...i am jose armando brother n low of jose luis..and we still working for the royal resorts foundation and you are totally right,part of the sales that we make goes destinated in diferent programs the the RR foundation support.

Cancun Day 2 - Sunday DEC 1

Most of us slept 12 hours, but one of us (Lorra) got up at 4:30 and went down to reserve our chairs.  Folks straggled in, but we were all sunbathing by 10 am.  We took our own drinks down to the pool since the swim-up bar does not open until 11.  You can bet the house on the fact that we were there waiting at 10:55 am for our second round of drinks. We ate lunch at the pool-side restaurant and then some of us went for a swim in the ocean.  It was rough today.  Not sure when I will get the sand out of my ears!  We relaxed in the pool or by the side of the pool until about 4 when the sun went down behind the hotel.  We are in Cancun proper, staying at the Royal Sands.   On this trip are Kathy & Alex (Alex’s parents are at the house handling the grandkids), Hailey Wilson and fiancé Harrison Magee, and Lorra & Adam Archibald (Joe is at the house).  We have Nick and all the grandkids watching our house and feeding the pets while we are gon...

Cancun Day 2 - Sunday, March 10

 Will and Alex joined me and Grandma Sandy for breakfast.  The fruit smoothies were the biggest hit.  The rest of the crew slept in and joined us at the pool later.  Those grandkids are little fish.  We had to force them to take breaks.  They would still be there if we let them! We had lunch by the pool and then made the kids relax for about an hour before hitting the kiddie pool - with slides.  We hit the beach, swam in the ocean a bit and then built sand castles.  We returned to the pool for the entire afternoon. We ate dinner as a group of 12 at the buffet here in the resort.  Hadley fell asleep at the table and Will just barely made it through his ice cream before they all headed off to bed.  They were out by 7:30 pm.  The grandkids were exhausted but having a great time down here. It was hot today, 90 F with little to no breeze at all.  There was a heat index warning as the humidity was up, making it feel a lot hotter. ...

Cancun Day 7 - Fri DEC 6

It was a day like any other day… up and at the pool by 9.  Lunch at the pool restaurant at Noon.  Lots of photos.  Celebrated with shots at 4.  Showers and then dinner at 6 down at the buffet, which was not a buffet tonight but they did have an awesome dessert table - where most folks had more than just a single dessert.  Back to the rooms to pack and clean up.  The other six are leaving in the morning.  We retired folks?  We are staying an additional two days so that we do not have to fly out on a Saturday with the rest of the world - and also because we can stay longer since, as aforementioned, we are retired!
