Home Safe from another holiday

We got up at 0800 Saturday morning and hit the pool.  It was windy and kind of cool, but we were still in swimming suits!

We headed to the room at 10 for showers and grabbed a taxi to the aeroporto at 11.  This was the most calm, serene, and careful taxi driver in all of Mexico.  He drove the speed limit, used his turn signals, and slowed down in the construction zones.  Amazing!

The hoards of people trying to get through the Delta line was impressive.  I thanked God we were not on THAT airline.  So did Sandy.  She did not want to wait with me in that line....mental note: do NOT fly Delta out of Cancun.

We grabbed lunch at the Margaritaville in the airport and then killed time while waiting on our flight.  They boarded us an hour early and we took off ten minutes early.  Nice.

While on the flight, a lady with an oxygen pump had a mechanical issue and her saturation level dropped to 72.  95-100 is normal; below 80 and your organs start to shut down.  So you can see we were in a medical emergency.  Option A was to drop the masks for the entire plane.  That would have been awesome - to see the entire plane PANIC.  Option B, which was taken, was to provide the lady with the portable O2 tank from the plane.  This did cause some extra paperwork for the crew, but within a few minutes, the lady was doing fine again.  How do I know?  There was a nurse on board and she said so.

Landed in Indy about 6.  Customs was not an issue.  Getting our luggage took FOREVER though.  What a pain.

Ordered food from the PK on the way North.  Called both sets of parents to let them know we had returned.  Hit the farm about 8 pm.

Unloaded and Sandy started laundry - as Sunday is packed.  I am to hunt in the morning, we are meeting with Mom and her sisters around lunch, and then we have a holiday concert in Indy to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra at 7:30 pm.  This was a birthday gift from the kids to Sandy.

Then of course on Monday it's back to the grind for the both of us.  Good to be home.  Bad to be back at work.  I did not hit the lottery while we were away, so back we go.

Until next time....
