Aww, Time to Head North

Well, not that returning to 80 degree weather is going to be horrible - especially since when we left it was 25F - but today is our last day in Cancun for this trip. In about 10 hours we'll we home.

Yesterday was spent soaking up rays. Alex and I hit the ocean one more time. We bailed about 5:30 to hit the Capt's Cove for our final dinner here. It was a beautiful sunset over the bay and one of our best meals. Got excellent photos.

Returned to the room for more Rage. At dinner we made a pact to hose Alex - and we were very successful. He barely hit double digits when the game ended with Nick in the lead. In the second game, it was down to the last hand and anyone could win but Shelby. Sandy took the game (barely) and was happy about that, 'cause in her words she rarely gets to win.

Sandy and I went to check out after cards. The line was about 15 people deep, but probably better than what this morning holds. We're free and clear to leave. During our walk to the front desk, we agreed that everyone had a blast this week. Total relaxation and a great time with great weather. A wonderful way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary.

We picked up our wedding certificate. They printed a wrong one, so Sandy married Nick. Is that even legal? Not in the US. No worries, they printed one for Craig too, just in case.

We woke this morning at 5:15 am. Not because we wanted to, but because our alarm went off. Sandy asked, "What the H was that?" Initially I blamed Kathy. Sandy thought it was Nick. In our semi-conscious state, we concluded that it was the maid who bumped the alarm while cleaning. If you hit enough buttons in the dark, you can make it stop buzzing. However, it will go off again in 15 minutes. So in the dark, without glasses, I changed the time to 5:15 PM. No more buzzing.

It's fully overcast this morning. Almost no sun. That's cool though since we only have about an hour left. If it had to happen, today's a good one for it.

Here's wishing everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day today and sister Joan a Happy Birthday! I'm pretty sure she turns 50 today, but it could be 51. I've lost count.

See some of you all shortly.
Craig
