SB20 - Day 3 - MON 16 MAR

We got up this morning at 0800 - a tad bit earlier than yesterday.  We hit the kiddie pool until Sandy said that she was hungry.  So we swapped our suits for some dry clothes and had lunch at the Char Hut here next to the pool.  We reslathered the sunscreen and then hit the sun deck.

I swam in the ocean because it's here.  And, also according to my wife, had naps 3 & 4.  Whatever - who's keeping count anyways?

Back to our room at 4 to take showers and change into our evening clothes - shorts and shirts and flops.  <-- That's as dressed up as we get on this vacation folks.

We walked over to La Distileria restaurant for dinner tonight.  Of course we had the flaming tequila cheese and we washed it down with Banana Maya beverages.  Then I had the beef tacos with corn shells and cactus while Sandy had the stuffed chicken.  Whatever sauce they used on that chicken - it was smoking hot.  I'm talking like a 7.5 or an 8 on my heat scale - full-on nose run at first bite.  It was off the chart for Sandy.  No way she could eat it.  No worries.  We hit the convenience store here at the hotel and she got some Haagen-Dazs ice cream to cool her off.

So we have a couple of spots on our bods that are red and a wee bit tender, but nothing much to speak of right now.  I need to start putting 30 SPF on my bald head instead of 15, and my big toe on my left foot decided to burn just the top 1/3 below the nail.  Odd.  But we're good.  Enjoying the food and the weather.

Now, there is a topic that needs discussing - for some reason, there is no Mt. Dew to be found on this island.  At least not by us and not yet.  We've only hit three stores - but one of those is a mega-store like Wal-Mart.  If they ain't got it, not sure anyone will have it.  Why???   It's like a zombie apocalypse.

This is us!
